How long is it, and what does it cost?

Sixty minutes, eighty-five dollars. One tier only.

Is there a longer session?

No. We publish a ninety and a two-hour option on several massage services, but not on this one. If you want more time in the building, add a second service or a sauna rather than asking for a stretched version of this one.

Does my hair get washed?

No. Nothing is rinsed, shampooed, cut or dried. This is dry work on the scalp and the muscles underneath it, with oil available only if you ask for it.

Should I wash my hair beforehand?

Not for our sake. There is no wash step to prepare for, so come from wherever your day already had you.

Will I be face down?

No. You are on your back for the whole session, draped, with your head and neck accessible. Nothing requires you to turn over.

Is it good for headaches?

Plenty of people book it precisely because their tension sits in the scalp, the jaw and the neck, and they tend to leave lighter than they came in. We keep the work relaxing rather than clinical. Anything medical belongs with your doctor first.

Can I combine it with something else?

Yes, and it is the most common way regulars book. Foot reflexology or a full body massage back to back works well. A half hour of infrared sauna can be attached for thirty dollars.

Do you do facials or skin treatments?

No. Elite Spa Utah is massage and spa only. There are no facials, no injectables and no medical aesthetics on the menu, and we would rather tell you that here than have you find out at the door.

What makes it Japanese?

The sequence is borrowed from Japanese spa tradition, which treats the scalp as a place worth an entire appointment rather than a courtesy at the end of one. The pressure-point work across the head comes from that lineage.

Is it done in a private room?

Yes, every session, with a therapist licensed by the State of Utah.

Can I get an appointment today?

Usually. Openings appear as therapists free up, and because the doors stay open until 10pm there is often something late even when the middle of the day is full.

What are your hours?

Ten in the morning until ten at night, every day of the week.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, in any amount between twenty-five and five hundred dollars. They arrive instantly and they do not expire.

Will I fall asleep?

Possibly. Most people go somewhere fairly far away around the ten-minute mark, and a good number never fully come back until the therapist speaks.

Can two of us have one at the same time?

Yes. The head spa can be booked side by side for two people in the couples suite, a therapist each, both hours starting together. Ask for it that way on the call and the room gets held for the pair of you.

Where do I park?

On site. The lot belongs to the building, so State Street traffic is not your problem and neither is a meter.

Do I have to book, or can I just come in?

Walk-ins are welcome. We still recommend an appointment, because the hour needs one therapist free from start to finish, and that is easier to arrange on the phone than at the desk.

Do you expect a tip?

Recommended, never required. Twenty percent is the customary number at a service business, and nobody here will prompt you or watch what you write on the slip.

What happens if I cancel?

Anything cancelled inside twenty-four hours of your start time is not refunded. Call the moment you know, and where you can, give us more than a day.
